I am informed that this year's shortlist for the Arthur C. Clarke award goes like this:

Kazuo Ishiguro – Never Let Me Go
Ken MacLeod – Learning the World
Alastair Reynolds – Pushing Ice
Geoff Ryman – Air
Charles Stross – Accelerando
Liz Williams – Banner of Souls

Wow. (And congrats to [info]mevennen -- "Banner of Souls" deserves to be there.)

Are you worried that award fatigue will set in?
